The production cost and processing difficulty of a lens with a high refractive index are usually higher than those of a lens with a low refractive index. The higher the refractive index of the lens, the more expensive the price.

Therefore, for high power, the advantage of high refractive index lenses is to reduce the weight of the lenses and improve the aesthetics of the lenses. In addition, for lenses with the same refractive index, aspherical lenses are thinner than spherical lenses.

For ordinary customers, aspherical, coated resin optical lenses are the best choice, because the technology is mature with a comfortable wearing experience.

Regarding how to choose the refractive index of 1.56, 1.61 or 1.67, if the power is less than 200 degrees, choose 1.56. If the myopia power is 200-400 degrees, you can choose 1.61. If the power is more than 500 degrees, then consider the choice of 1.67 lenses.
