How to distinguish acetate frames from injection frames?

The most common acetate frames use acetate fiber or propionic acid fiber as the main raw material, which is processed by CNC machines for internal turning, milling, external turning, turning and milling, shaping, polishing, surface treatment, printing, etc. More than 100 processes are involved, so the production process is complicated, and the cost is high.

Acetate frames are 100% resistant to ultraviolet rays, and the density is generally higher than that of injection frames, so it is relatively heavier, more durable and not easy to fade. At the same time, because the acetate sheet is formed first, it not only has a thick and metallic texture, but also can produce a variety of patterns and colors, which makes it possible to produce more fashionable glasses than the single-color injection frame. In our daily selection, we can distinguish an acetate frame from an injection frame through the following aspects.

1. Generally, the injection frame will produce obvious line marks at the joint of the molds, commonly known as the dividing line, generally in the center of the frame surface and the edge of the temples.

2. The nose pads of an acetate frame are generally transparent and colorless. No matter what color the frame is, the nose pads of an acetate frame are transparent, while the injection-molded spectacle frame is made of one piece, so the nose pads are colored, or of an impenetrable transparent color.

3. An acetate frame has a fine glossiness and looks relatively soft. An injection frame also has a good gloss, but the shine is generally too strong.

4. An acetate frame has a metal wire inside the temple, but an injection frame does not.
